The Hub is structured so that you can visit the site without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. When you visit The Hub, the visit is registered, but not at a personal level. We only use the information we receive to keep statistics about the number of visitors and what sections of The Hub are visited. No statistics are kept at a personal level. We use the statistics exclusively to follow up, develop and improve The Hub.
A cookie is a small file with data containing information about previous visits to a website. A web server sends the cookie to a web browser, from which it can later retrieve information. You can determine whether or not you want to store cookies through your own web browser. You can also use your web browser to see which cookies are stored and erase the ones you do not want to retain. Membership of The Hub requires that you enable cookies. No cookies are saved when non-members visit The Hub. We do not use this information for anything other than statistics and never on a personal level. (See how cookies can be used in relation to members of The Hub under "Save password" below).
Links to other websites are sometimes listed on The Hub as a service to you. When you click on one of these links, you exit The Hub. Skanska does not examine in detail the websites to which links are provided. Skanska does not accept any responsibility for content of the websites or handling of personal details on these websites.
The details you provide when you register as a member are registered by Skanska solely for the purposes to which you agreed in conjunction with your registration and not for any other purpose.
Skanska will not sell or lend or dispose of these personal details in any other way, unless you have expressly provided prior approval.
In order to prevent unauthorized access to your personal details, Skanska has a system to maintain data security. Skanska will also take measures to ensure that your personal details are used in a secure and correct manner, in accordance with your approval.
You should safeguard your password and keep it secure.
Through the "Save password" function, you give us the possibility to see when a member of The Hub is logged on. This is done by your password being stored as a cookie on your computer. We do not use this information to see what you as a person do on The Hub, but to follow up, develop and improve our service. This function can be used to keep a certain amount of statistics on the number of visits, how long a visit lasts, and frequency of visits to parts of The Hub. However, these statistics are not related to persons and we do not keep statistics on a personal level.
You can choose whether you want to participate in this by clicking on the "Save password" on the registration page. Use of the "Save password" function is not a requirement for membership of The Hub, but is provided primarily so that you do not need to enter your password each time you visit The Hub.
"Save password" functions as follows: A cookie is stored on your computer to enable The Hub to read your User ID and password. When you log into The Hub, the cookie checks that you are identified in the correct manner and ensures that you receive exactly the information you want.
